The Tulip Signature is my marquise solitaire: an elongated marquise set low in a tulip cathedral basket, wrapped in a hidden halo that catches light from every angle except the one you look at it from. Tucked into the gallery, two small stones peek out from the side — a private detail only you know is there.
A hidden halo is the most flattering trick in modern setting design. From above you see a clean marquise solitaire; from the side, a ring of pavé lifting the stone and throwing light up into it. The center reads larger without the ring ever looking busy.
