This ring pairs the playful silhouette of a bubble band with the architectural strength of a solid gold bezel — a combination that reads bold at five carats and quietly confident at one. At its heart sits a round brilliant of your chosen size, cradled in a solid gold basket with a full bezel surround. The seamless frame makes any center stone look more substantial than its carat weight suggests.
Four handcrafted talon prongs overlap the bezel, adding a sharp, deliberate claw detail that keeps the design from reading soft. The band is our signature bubble: a series of polished spheres that give a rounded, comfortable fit and a high-shine texture you will not get from a traditional smooth shank.
Why this setting
- A closed basket, not an open one. Solid sides give the ring real substance in the hand and stop daily wear collecting underneath the stone — your diamond stays brighter for longer.
- The girdle is protected. A full bezel shields the most chip-prone edge of the stone. That matters at any size, and most above two carats, where a large stone sits proud of the finger and takes more knocks.
- You can leave it on. Cook, garden, go to the gym. This is the setting that lets you own a big stone without taking it off.
- Any size holds up. One of the few designs in the collection I would recommend at five carats without hesitation — the bezel carries the weight.
Choosing your center stone
Available with a round brilliant center from 1 to 5 carats. The price shown is the 1-carat configuration. Every step up is quoted at what the stone actually costs me plus a fixed margin — not a multiple. Past roughly three carats that margin is capped, so the larger the stone, the closer you pay to my cost.
Your stone is sourced individually. Before anything is set you will see it on video in the tweezers — the real stone, not a stock image.
